Spanky jim Miller
Jim Miller grew up in Greenville, SC with a love for Music and Baseball. In 1966 after meeting famous WQOK Announcer Sonny Epps at a remote broadcast, he was bitten by the radio bug. He started his own radio station at the age of 12 with a walkie talkie , a TV Antenna and a simple record player.

Jim Miller began his radio career while attending Anderson College in 1973. At A.C. and later at The University of South Carolina, he worked part-time at WAIM, THE FAMIOUS BIG Q: WQOK, Greenville and at WCOS in Columbia as well at the college radio staion WUSC. After Graduating with a Broadcast Journalism and Marketing Degree from CAROLINA, Jim Started FULL TIME at WQOK. Also started in The Nightclub DJ Business when DISCO hit the nation. Working at THE ELECTRIC WAREHOUSE, Downtown Greenville also at the Columbia and Myrtle Beach clubs, and working radiio in Sumter, SC, Chatanooga & Memphis,TN and Cincinnati, OH .

In 1980 Jim Miller return to the Upstate at WANS-FM, Anderson and there is where the radio name of SPANKY came in. Through the 80's working FULL-TIME RADIO he always found himself working in the local Hot-Spots as a club DJ. Spanky Jim Miller (SPANKY JAM) Worked at great radio stations and clubs in Atlanta & Savannah, GA,  Orlando & Jacksonville, Fla., Birmingham, AL., Dallas, TX. and Myrtle Beach & Hilton Head, SC.  Spanky was on-the-air at Rock 101 in Anderson (1983) In 1984 & 85 Spanky was at KISS-FM in ASHEVILLE, NC.for the birth of the Kiss Legend in Asheville. The Summer of '85 Spanky was hired at WKZQ in Myrtle Beach. The fall of '85 found Spanky in Atlanta, Ga at 99X WARM and in 1986 in Dallas, Texas at KKZN The Rock of Dallas. In 1987 Jim returned to Kiss-FM, Asheville and won Radio Personality of the year from the Asheville Citizen-Times.   In 1990 Jim returned to the Upstate to WFBC-FM.   From 1993-2000, he was an announcer for WSSL-FM and My 102.5.  And from 1993 through 1998 Spanky Jim Miller and Eric Rogers hosted the nationally syndicated radio show "The Third Decade Of Rock N Roll."  Spanky Jim Miller retired from the air waves in early 2000.
